boom rigs from shore

i have used booms on rigs from the shore befor and i think they are brilient
not only have i caught fish useing them (which is very rare for me) but you dont have to worry about tangles
the only problems i can see with them is you can cast quite as far and they dont fit in the little plastic bags i use for rigs
has anyone else had any luck with boom rigs from the shore??
the rig i used was just a 1 up 1 down rig with booms

only time i would ever use them is down the side of a pier using more than 1 hook

i never get any problems with rigs tangling

i just use clips or impact shields

Maybe an idea is buy same ready made rigs

Have a look at them and the make some the same

Ready made rigs are more expensive but they work and they help you learn how they should look

thats what i always used to do but then i worked out how much it was costing me so decided to make my own
and its more fun

just blagged me mates

shops charge loads for rigs with good booms on
the best booms are the metal 1s and they usualy charge bout 2 times as much
for 3 booms its £1.20ish

and how big are they??
because the 1s im on about are about 4inches long
there are some masive 1s which are cheaper but i think they would be too long and there are also some plastic 1s but i dont like them
they aint long enough and they look pritty crap and easy to break
