We use loads of Gemini kit-it's strong, versatile, and most of it is re-usable.I even use the clip links in the boat because they will take quite a heavy weight.I have never had one straighten out yet.
I use their snood clips as well-make up snoods for quick change of hook length.I try and make my rigs interchangeable so that I can alter them to suit rather than change the whole trace-it's quicker and easier when you're speed fishing, and easier to carry.
I love using pyramid weights-they hold bottom well, and cast well, too. They are becoming more easily available over here, too.I first started using them on the continent a few years ago-in Portugal,in fact,-and in the soft ,coarse sand over there they act like a grip weight. :)

Re: boom rigs from shore

my local tackle shop sells the srt springs and clips but not the gemini booms!!!! one of these MAY be a solution to my wishbone rig tangling dilemma! any tackle shops in your areas that sell these red booms and do mailorder lads?

Re: boom rigs from shore

booms are a god send if you are having problems with tangles
aint tryed em with a wishbone rig before though
i find if i am using a 2 hook flapper rig alot of the time the top hook length comes back tangled aroung the main trce

Re: boom rigs from shore

yes, always makes me think if it has been like that all along n i have just wasted 15 mins but i alwys cast furter with a rig with no booms
i no usualy stick to using simple 1 hook rigs or boom rigs because of the tangles, i dont like using 3 hook rigs even more because of the tangles and i also find it harder casting because of how long it is
