Re: Multiliers and Fixed Spool Reels

BK17, that is awesome but that wasnt what i was talking about. Just for the record i know a chap who can cast 307 yards without bait on much lighter line and that was what i was talking about lighter line. Now you chill and try and listen sometimes and stop having a dig everytime i reply. You said also you use your thumb after cast last time, would you put your foot out the window to stop your car na youd use the brakes. Tight lines dude.

Re: Multiliers and Fixed Spool Reels

did i actually say thats what you were talking about .....nope

always assuming and, always right......

i said i saw a bloke cast a dvice ....thats all

im no fool , i stop the reel at the end of a cast with my thumb ....same as most people ..........the best casters around stop the spool with there thumb at the end of a cast ....in the field AFTER they have wound the mags off FACT
or on the beach ........we must all be wrong , next time im over stennin i will ask a few really good casters if they tighten their reels up ......bet i get some funny looks......

most experienced anglers roughly know when the lead will hit the wet stuff when fishing and can roughly judge when to stop the reel .......

like i said most not all

leave it their now ... not everything in this forum is aimed at you .........if your gona give loads of advice give it to somebody that needs it or asks.....that aint me ......catches dont lie

but keyboard fisherman can and do

Re: Multiliers and Fixed Spool Reels

I am not going to be bullied. I did not say tighten reels up, i said when you want to centre spool when you 1st buy reel you tighten handle end cap and have other end cap at 0, then you slowly anticlockwise move end cap until you feel slight movement and that FACT as you put it, is what i said. You at the start off the cast have a bit of brake on then during cast let it fully off, now you can use your thumb but i for fishing use a tad of brake bcause i choose to just b4 lead hits the water. Now as i have said i like so many others only gave my piont and if that annoys you i dont give a monkeys. As the saying goes, are you glad. I also apoligised to cuckoo, but if i want to give my view i will and i will not let you speak to me in that way hard man. My reply is not just for you and you dont have to agree but what i am saying is only my opinion. My face does not show concern. All further replys from you will be ignored period. You dont know me so back off. This matter is now closed.

Re: Multiliers and Fixed Spool Reels

It is not in my nature to fight with anyone, and at start i got off on the wrong foot. I know there is alot of experience anglers out there and i too dont know everything far from it, so as they say take 2. Tight lines to all and i have learned also. Not long till christmas. Hope santa brings me that new rod i want. Cheers guys. Stud.
