Swim Feeder

As promised here is the pic of the swim feeder I made last night.
I do actually think that it is a bit big so the hunt is on to find something a little bit smaller.
Also you can see the mashed up Mackerel on the right and the squid on the left, its still frozen at this point but you can see that the consistancy is quite sticky. I have added some very small pellet sized fresh water ground bait to this mix but in hindsight I think I will leave it out next time.
The only problem I can see with the ground bait is that its so sticky and oily that it wont easily disperce in the water, but then again its not been tested yet.
If I can I might have a trip out tomorrow and test it out.

Re: Swim Feeder

Good pic. I finally see how your 'break away' wires/leads work...The TWO opposing wires pivot away.
The only similar thing we have (in NE), the wire is softer and bends away.
Cool, finally

Re: Swim Feeder

to make it less messy you could freez the bait into small blocks that can easily slide into the canister! keep em in a big soup thermos and grabem and pop em in when you need them!

Cool Re: Swim Feeder

Try mixing in Bran as it will soak up the oils and easily disperses it in the water.
