| Re: Wind Knots...WHY ? Hi Nad, I had the same problem when I started to fling a few plugs around, even though the line level seemed ok, I'd get bunches of line coming off causing wind knots.... a real pain! I think it's caused as the line doesn't really bed in tight on the spool with light plugs. I seem to get away with now by dropping the line level on the spool to about2-3 mm below the lip. It shouldn't matter too much if you are using plugs, as they dont cast that far anyway, and there is more than enough left on the spool. I always thought that the spool had to be 'up to the top' (correctly filled) to get the best distance, which is true for leads cast for distance. I dont seem to have lost much if any distance with plugs.... plus I dont have to spend 20 minutes trying to untangle the damn thing... best of luck! Steve |

| Re: Wind Knots...WHY ? Thanks for that Stevey916. I've reduced the amount of line on the spool now,so hopefully i can get on with fishing and forget about un-picking line every other cast.Cheers mate. |
