Re: Headlamps LED version for sea fishing at night

always wanted to try that, pot holeing, im pritty sure they use the PETZL 1s
and i was talking to guy in the shop n he had an older version of it which he used for jumping off the edge of cliffs with in the dark think he might have been going abit mad, he was explaining about how you mountain bike there in the dark and then jump off the cliff into the water in the dark, kinda wondered how it stayed on your head when you hit the water but didnt bother asking, made me buy 1

Re: Headlamps LED version for sea fishing at night

Just bought a 12 LED light with my first ever trip on ebay. Probably crap but at 1p + £5.99 p&p can't really go wrong can I? When I went potholing we used good old fashioned miners lamps that clipped onto your helmet and had a battery pack that weighed about 10lbs but that was back in the good old 80's before LED's were invented!

Hi Mark,

I have been looking at the same lights on eBay!

I know it's cheeky mate but would you please let me know what they are like?

Cheer's.

Re: Headlamps LED version for sea fishing at night

I bought one of those 5 LED,lamps from e-bay a few months ago for about a fiver, used it half dozen times, batteries still going strong and it gives out a fine white light. its very light to wear, the only bugbear is the 3 settings it has, you have to keep pressing the button to get the light on without it sending out SOS signals to all and sundrie

Re: Headlamps LED version for sea fishing at night

OK, headlamp has arrived and. although not used for fishing yet, I used it walking the dog the other night and seemed to give off good light, would have been even better I think but there was a bright moon. Certainly worth the money paid for it!
