That just clips on to the piece of aluminium.
Lasts a long time also due to the LEDs and not halogen type bulbs.

Make sure you get the strip of metal though, otherwise the light doesnt reach over the tips.

What is this strip of metal?? Does it fit all rod rests.

Hi Kiwi,
He means a piece of metal that the torch clips to.
The torch can't clip to the tripod itself because it wont point in the right direction, so he's made a bracket.

I use the same lights as picture at the start of this thread. As mentioned by someone else the only problem ive found is the line can get caught. Apart from that i think they are great.

A mate of mine uses the night light things that you "snap and shake" held on with a bit of tape, that also works well.
