| Shock Leaders - weight to lb ratio Folks, I was going to ask on here but figured I'd use my amazing skills of reserach instead and not be a cop-out. I found a useful little tip that a shock leader should be approx 10lb for every oz of weight you're intending to cast. i.e. for a five oz weight use a 50lb shock leader etc. Thought I'd share the tip afresh. Happy fishing! Signore Gatto |

| Re: Shock Leaders - weight to lb ratio Nice one matey, welcome to the forum. You're near newcastle! My favourite town. Do you use braided shock leader, or mono? I'm just beginning to experiment with fishing for anything other than mackerel myself...so any tips you have! I'm on the west coast tho. Happy fishing. Mr Cat |
