| Loading mono to multiplier reel Not sure if this has been discussed previously, but what is the advice when loading mono line to a multiplier reel to prevent line twist? Is it best to load: (A) with the line coming off the bottom of the spool (rotates anti-clockwise) and laying on top of the reel (rotates clockwise) OR (B) line coming off top of spool and laying of top of the reel (both rotate clockwise). |

| Re: Loading mono to multiplier reel Dont think it makes much difference to be honest .... it does make a difference on a FS reel but not on a multi ... I am clever and use a spooling station so it unwinds like a cotton reel and thats the way to ensure it goes onto the multi -nice & smooth like a cotton reel - take loads of time over it at home - well worth it ! I used to use a bucket for the spool, the reel on the rod handle & line through the eye and through a yello pages to give it tension - worked fine .... After a few long casts, the line will sort itself out .... __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps !
