Re: Bait Clips

ther good but if your a lobber like me your probly better off with
the bait sheild clips! (ar cr*p cant think of the makes name but ther fail safe
and will keep baits intack) the gemini ones ar good but a little fiddly with cold stiff fingers, keeps everything inline but dont offer any real bait protection, good if you wont to hit the horizon but for the 100yrd lobs
stick with the black bait sheild clip thingys that i cant think of the name of!
(hope that helps lol)

Re: Bait Clips

Hi geffski, Thanks for the reply, I have been trying to find some pictures of how to use them but no luck yet. I am new to this beach fishing. I used to fish in a club about 30 years ago. But I am havinf to learn all the stuff again. I am going to fish in spain. I go there about 10 days a month and my Spanish is not very good yet, So I get all the information I can from the forums. And any help is appreciated. I am seeing things like shock leaders, oval split rings, bait clips, mono line, braided line. 30 years ago there was not that choice so it was easy. All the best for now. Re: Bait Clips

here y go paul, nicked from another site.

http://breakawayusa.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2049.

they're useing fairly heavy lines though, i wouldn't go that big for uk species.

the original idea of a bait clip was an old blunted hook or piece of bent stiff wire just locked on to the rig body with a rubber tube or telephone wire,
there's lots of different clips availiable now , but i feel the impact sheilds are the best for the way i fish.

gord.
