Re: Is it worth making your own Leads????

Hello mate!

your right about it getting expencive but your soon get the hang of things and not lose so many!! the way i found best to replace my leads was to go for walks where alot of peeps fish and check snags and that at low water!! im lucky as i live a few mins from a pier and you can find up to 10 leads at a time down there on a good day!! i used to make my own leads years ago but found it a pain in the arse finding the lead but if you really want or need to make your own i would surgest looking in skips and bins at window firms and roofing places as they were quite productive

Hope this is of some help buddy!!

Ollie.

Re: Is it worth making your own Leads ????

Secondhand lead is now expensive, ask friends and contacts at work,
making your own weights can be cost effective and fun, dont do it alone, or in the kitchen, lead gives off toxic fumes, no moisture, damp or anything wet,
anywhere near the pot, ladel or moulds.
Sorry to sound like a drudge, the burns units are full.

If it is worth it wheres the bext places to find old lead??
