| Shockleader question I have been away from sea fishing for a good number of years and never really bothered with shock leaders when I was a kid. I am looking to come back to the beachcasting world and have a few questions. I understand the need for a shock leader but does the line used in the rig need to be of the same line weight (as the shock leader), if not then whats the point of the shockleader as the rig line is surely the weakest point. Thanks Tom |

| Re: Shockleader question Hi Tom - welcome to the forum .. Re your question - yes exactly right - the rig body needs to be of the same or greater strength than the shockleader - generally if you use 60lb shock & 60lb rig body - you will be fine - make sure your swivels are 60lb or greater of course ! |

| Re: Shockleader question Thanks for that. Morecombe isnt too far but can anyone recommend the best tackle dealer on the Fylde coast, I know of tweo, one in Cleveleys (West Coast tackle) and one in Fleetwood (in a bike shop) but dont know which would be the best for a novice to get the best advice and not get ripped off with stuff I dont actually need.
