advice for boat fishing trip needed

i'm off out on my first charter trip in about 5 years on sunday and really looking forward to it. i am after some advice on rigs and fishing methods for plaice, turbot and other flatties. i tie my own traces for the shore but its been ages since i've kitted up for a day on a boat. what type of trace to use, type of weight and method of fishing if possible, is the help i need.
just ordered (and should be here tommorrow) a nw outfit,- mustad vikin multi tip with shimano charter special 1000 reel with fireline!! come on!!!
