Re: Stopknot!!!

Another nice stop is a short piece of small diameter latex tube.
Run your line through it twice with-out crossing the line, then pull the line straight.
The wadded up tube makes a great stop. A shorter piece will slide if you need to move it, a longer piece won't move....too long and you won't be able to pull the line straight.
Experiment a bit w/whats available to you.
Cheers and good luck

ps.another good 1 is to tie an simple overhand knot (or the 1 biggun gave you) on the line w/a piece of rubber band(an elastic).

Re: Stopknot!!!

or use a small piece of telephone wire, no need to tie it just wrap around your line a few times.

Re: Stopknot!!!

small elastic band is another option, just thumb knot it over the line

Re: Stopknot!!!

Elastic bands are most common but they come off and slide to easily normaly but power gum will do a perfect stop knot and will last til you get rid of it

Powergum's a soft, elastic mono. When tightened up, it doesn't seem to damage the mainline/rig body. In fact, since I started using powergum, I've stopped using crimps. It stays where you put it but can be moved up or down the rig by simply wetting it and sliding.

Fox sea Tackle also sell powergum in a handy dispenser
