I'm the same esp. w/jarred baits,(salmon eggs-real&artifcl, extruded "Gulp" baits, etc). Buy them all winter to try them all summer.

Rip off is about right I think - I was sat yesterday making some rigs and was using some sequins and my wife asked what I was doing etc. showed her and off she went - came back with a container of sequins (amazing what these girlies keep in thier drawers ) Identical sequins - she bought them for 99p for a 1000 !!! stole all the silver & red ones and must have about 300 or so .... the last packet of "proper" fishing ones were £2-£3 for just a few ...

Beads are the same, I appreciate there are some specialist ones but general rig body ones - 99p for millions in a packet from Wilkinsons ...

Silicon tubing - buy the kids 'scoobies strings - perfect - guess what - 99p for ... must be 10m at least ...

Sorry back on thread - the floaty beads - how many of what size keeps up say a standard rag of about 4" or is it all trial and error ?

Re: Floating Beads

You could always try using FLOAM. It's like polystyrene balls all in some sort of paste, once it's dried it's quite hard and durable. If you look in toystores or market stalls, you should be able to find some easily enough.
