Boat fishing in Norway?

Hi all, new to this forum, looks like a wealth of information. Being from Australia and having moved to Norway, obviously there are major differences in species and rigs etc for fishing off a boat. The internet has been of little help as far as advice goes, I am looking at bait types and rigs (I have never been a fan of lures) for boat fishing around the Stavanger area.

I also have to leave my boat in the water this winter due to lack of any winter storage space. Having never owned a boat in such a cold climate before (Western Australia has only two seasons, hot and dry or wet and dry), is there anything I need to know or do? I'm running a 60hp Yamaha OB.
