Clip down rigs problem - advise needed :-)

HI all,

Need some advise here.

As a newbie I have just ventured in to my own rig making, and they all work fine,
apart from the clip down I made. Problem is that when I use a bait clip the
bait does not break away from the clip when it lands in the water.

When I use a weight with a bait clip on, the bait stays on the clip as well, so obviously I am doing something wrong.

Have you guys got any ideas, straight off why this might be??

Thanks in advance

Peter

I thought those were fool proof

Are you sure you are using them as per the instructions?

Re: Clip down rigs problem - advise needed :-)

HI all, I solved the problem. Found a vid on youtube, and turned out I had not tightened
the bottom right, so the impact shield moved about while keeping the hook on.

Tried it quickly on the beach this afternoon, (the benefit of living not 1 minute form the beach lol)
after re-doing the rig, and it worked all fine.

Thanks for your replies guys, and many thanks for the offer Littlefish

Peter
