| advice please hi i want to have a go at making my own rigs but as i have never done it and at the risk of sounding a complete moron can any 1 tell me what line i need to use i understand all about the crimps, beads, swivels etc but do i use normal line on the rig or do i need to use something else. any help would be great |

| Re: advice please You need to use line the same breaking strain as your shock leader for the main body of the rig,to prevent crack offs when casting, the hook length breaking. Strain depends on what your fishing for really. __________________ Mike.. | Re: advice please Hi I'm no expert but I use 40lb strait through. I use 50lb for my rig bodies and 15 or 20lb for my snoods. I started making my own rigs and there's masses of great info on this site. Making them gives you something to do when your bored, but I get real satisfaction using them. If I use heavier lead than the norm I attach a leader to the main. Kajydog ![]() |
