Re: Braid to nylon.

After having a few 'line breaks' at a join of nylon/braid due to the braid cutting thru the nylon; we discovered the :

FOR UNI-KNOT CLICK HERE

After using this knot we had no such breaks. I believe it works due to the strain/pull being one 'knot ball' pulling against the other 'knot ball' ; rather than line cutting knots.

Very easy knot to tie, but do put a bit of 'lick' on the line before sliding and pulling tight. I expect other peeps will also have their favourites.

Re: Braid to nylon.

I use the Albright but ALWAYS double the braid as it makes it much stronger.

Also, when tying it I always dampen the braid - makes it much easier to tie especially in the wind (or on a boat doing 15knots).
