Fishing line shelf life?

Having a sort through my gear in the loft today and found 6 spools of unused 15lb line with my sea fishing gear. I probably bought them in 2005 or 2006 and they have never been used. I presume they are still ok? Any thoughts?

i would have no worries about using it as its not been in direct sun light,
what make is it

Cheers, that's what I thought too as they're a dark bag in a dark room. They're mainly Mustad line and 2 spools of Red Ice. Looks like I don't have to buy anymore then!

id happily use them as long as they have been undercover and out of sunlight they will last for ages! run it through you fingers first you will soon feel if its not right !!
