Re: a good flounder rig & baits

Ragworm has always been the king bait round our neck of the woods mate.

Flappers, running ledgers, loop rigs, wessex rigs and wishbones all work well. My favourite if the conditions and venue allow is to fish light (spinning rod) and use a small ball weght on a running ledger. Flounders are nosy and love a moving bait.

Good luck as they are nowhere near as common as they once were, they do seem to congregate in small areas in numbers though. Try up in the estuaries rather than the beaches.

Re: a good flounder rig & baits

Is that a flounder from Portsmouth?

Rag/squid, I think.

(I'm afraid I put it back, so we'll never know, eh?)
