| Re: Shore fishing with carp gear. Hi mate, Just love using my carp rod for all spinning and plug applications. Used it also for flounder fishing in the Teign. Out of interest, picked up the Diawa 2005 cat from my local tackle shop yesterday. I noticed a section in there called 'Predator Rods'. These come at various lengths and have test curves from say 2.5lb upto 5.0lb. For lines from 8lb to 40lb and able to cast weights to 6oz. Well worth a look.
