Talking Re: Old Smoothy Flounder Wishbone Rig

Yes mate, the reason i make them this way is that they don't tend to tangle on the cast and once in the water they fish close by each other and give a good scent trail.

You then catch em 2 at a time!!
Its proved its worth time and again.
Don't confuse it with a long range wishbone were the snoods need to be the same length so they clip down.

yes i think you are right,i have got confused,i have always tied them that way,not being much of a long distance angler i don't really need to bother getting them the same length

Re: Old Smoothy Flounder Wishbone Rig

No, there's no crimps involved. The blood loops does all the work, it's just tying the blood loop that is awkward most of mine went wrong when doing this rig and the tag end pulled away from the rest but I have made one good one just need to test it out now.

Re: Old Smoothy Flounder Wishbone Rig

On the mainline above the rig, I had mine set up so the rig was tied to a swivel then above the swivel was a bead then the weight with the weight free running.

Cool Re: Old Smoothy Flounder Wishbone Rig

I will try and post some step by step photos this week so you can see how to tie a blood loop and how the rig is made.

Also have a non tangle doggy rig made with blood loops and swivels If anyone is interested
