Rigs for Tope

Hi guys,

New to sea fishing, anyone give me advice on what set up is needed to catch Tope from a boat?

I understand that some type of wire trace is needed but dont know what length, strenth or hook size?
also has anyone got tips on knots, swivvels etc ?
