Another basics question. I'm going back over the way I do things again (regular event) to check I haven't allowed any bad habits to creep in to my set ups. My usual beach set up is a 15LB main line (nylon) and 60 shock leader. The question is , what is the safest way to join the two lines avoiding rod eye jamming? Cheers folks. ![]() __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk

Re: Another basics question. That is a cracking site ![]() my choice is the albright hands down, fore ease of tying ,pulls through weed easy and doesn't catch on the tip ring. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size

Re: Another basics question. For clear ground fishing, try a tapered leader ... join with two 5-turn Grinner knots.
