tie your 2 hook lengths, one the length you want for your snood and the other just over the length you want for your finished wishbone. hold the two hooks in your pilers and tie both snoods together using a water knot(make an overhand loop and take the free ends of the snoods through it three times{like the start of a grinner} moisten and pull tight keeping the line between the hooks in the pliers and the knot tight) this will give you the same size snood on each side. Hope that does the trick, if you get really stuck i can try to take a few photos for you.
Personally I always use a boom on this rig so I can get some tension on the snood to keep it in the impact shield
