Boat end tackle for general inshore fishing Just thought I would pass on an idea that I tried last summer and that was to make my main out of 40lb ammnesia black and my hook lengths out of 20lb red.It made it so much easier sorting out tangles from other folk.

Re: Boat end tackle for general inshore fishing Good idea D if only two are tangled, if three or more come up together I prefer a tangle spanner, a sharp knife or side cutters (safer) Cut all leaders as near the swivel as possible, throw the tangle into a bucket and re-tackle, with the more exprianced helping the novices, when the baits are on the bottom again someone can cut out all the gear and the anglers reclaim it. All of the unwanted line being put into a rubbish bag and taken home, not over the side or left on the beach. John __________________ Poor prep= Pathetic Performance

Re: Boat end tackle for general inshore fishing also, with the lighter line on the hooklength all you lose is the hook, unlike on the pre-tied rigs that you buy that have like, 70lb snoods and 80lb mainline so you lose the lot, lead and all if you hook the wreck! __________________ "Alright Jack, we all ready to fish?" I do agree if you go into the wreck you lose the lot, but its easy to re-tackle. As for lead weights I use cannon ball shapes, if you want any more info please pm me. John __________________ Poor prep= Pathetic Performance
