| Re: boat launch Ramps in this area are in short supply. Apparently there is a free shingle beach launch at Cooden Beach (near Bexhill) not sure if this involves getting your feet wet! Alternatively you have Newhaven. Andy Pace charges £15 launch and recovery with Simpson Marine charging £25. There are slips on Denton Island but these are only useable about two hours either side of high tide and you have a short run down the river to the sea. It maybe worth phoning Ian Johns who runs Meeching Boats (on Denton Island) and is also the coxwain of the Newhaven lifeboat. His number is 01273 514907. |

| Re: boat launch I think there is a ramp is opposite the Clock Tower in Bexhill as well. You could also launch at Pett. All these can only be used 3 hours before high tide. There is a slip way at Rye Harbour as well. |
