Question Fishing in Folkstone

Hello,
we are a couple from Germany and we will visit Folkstone for three days in June for fishing. Can anyone help us finding out, what boats are going out for which kind of fish? Please excuse my bad English!!!

Re: Fishing in Folkstone

Hi

Are you only boat fishing or are you beach fishing as well? If you are in need of any help when you are in folkstone ask for directions to harbour tackle and Phil in there will be able to help! Or you can also send me a message and I will try and help you out as I fish at folkstone reguarly and can try to help on some good spots!

C ya

Re: Fishing in Folkstone

Thank you,
we sent some e-mail to charter boats in Folkstone but we didn`t get any reply yet (perhaps our english was too bad :-)
I don`t want to call them on the telephone, because I don`t know if I understand enough...
Do you think, there will be places in a boat available if we do not book it now?
We are beach fishing as well, and we are happy, if you can give us some hints, where to fish.
Biggi

Re: Fishing in Folkstone

You might get a trip out of one of the charter boats in folkstone if there is space on the boats and your best bet would be to speak to phil in the Harbour Tackle shop. He might know the people and be able to sort something out for you. If you want to do some shore fishing then you could try the pier. Its about £3 for a ticket and puts you into deep water. There are numbers painted on the pier wall and you should fish the low numbers at low tide and High numbers at High tide. You could catch some Mackeral, Flat fish, Bass, Pouting. Also if you ask for directions down to the Warren it is a good beach at night. You can fish off of a concrete platform in to deep water and good chances of Bass along with dogfish, Sole and flatfish.

Hope this is helpful to you and any if you need any more help feel free to ask

Joe
