hi

hi im new and just wanted to say hello and ask where is the best place to go and take my 12year old son on his first fishing trip and mine first for along time just got him a12foot leeda olympic rod and he cant wait to go so any help would be gratfull i live in folkestone thanks malcolm

Hi Shellgilly and welcome to the forum. If you just want to catch some fish then Folkestone pier is your best bet,you also have dover/deal pier fish close to the wall and you are bound to catch,Folkestone beach in front of the lift for Bass fish a large bait out at range and one in close about 15yrds.For sole try the Warren first apron thay had a match there last weekend and it was won with sole.Any way good luck and hope you get some fish

thanks for you help. i took my son fishing off dover pier had a good day he got 11 mackerel and a herring so for his first time he was over the moon and cant wait to go today malcolm

hi i live in brightlingsea essex just been down to folkestone and fished at sandgate beach caught loads of mackerel in the day on all states of the tide also bass fished at night only had a couple this time
