Any Suggestions for Fishing Locations in E.Sussex During the Summer

Does anyone have any suggestions for a fishing location in E.Sussex which isn't swamped with sunbathers. I had people turning up to sun bath from 8am the other day in Bexhill and had to abandon fishing shortly after 9.

I tried Eastbourne Pier on Sunday, with very little sucess, I lost a shed load of tackle, it was always cramped for space but I abandoned play for safety reasons when there was a sudden influx of kids fishing for Makerel.

Do people only fish late evening/overnight and very early morning, or is there somewhere locally not swamped with sunbathers.

Steve.

Hi Steve, I've been fishing Shoreham beach. Been doing OK too and its very quiet mainly. You won't get the same numbers of Mackerel etc as on the marina walls but you don't get the tourists either. I just posted a mini report if it helps at all.

Thanks Chris,
I might give Shoreham a try some time. I was in Anglers Den in Pevensy at the weekend and they suggested Cooden, which is on the West Side of Bexhill.
