Dover Seaways January Storm

Just uploaded a short vidoe I took with my phone during the strong winds earlier in the month.
Its the first time I have used youtube for uploading and sharing so it a bit of a test.

The ship has stabilizers and the bridge is nearly 30m high so its not that impressive.
We clocked 97.7kts on the anonometer during those few days, its recorded at the bottom right of the pic.




It worked!

You were almost there Jason,,you just needed to trim the link a bit more,all you need is the number sequence behind the equals sign,click on edit post and you'll see it straight away....

I went on a channel crossing in high wind when I was younger and it was the best experience ever!!!! I was actually ment to be boat fishing that day but the skipper cancelled the night before so me and my mate said that we would go on a day trip to Calais (to get pi**ed). Sea France was 1- 1/2 hour late out of Dover cos of the stormy weather but once at sea it was great. I spent most of my time between the bar and the back (stern????) of the ship getting tossed around the deck. Was even funnier on the way back drunk. I fell over on the deck and smashed a large bottle of Whiskey my mate had brough from the duty free!! My mate was not to happy but since he was being sick he couldn`t really do a lot lol

Those blades are a nightmare source, 3 different sizes and the ship was built by samsung in korea.
I used to do the odd booze cruise back in the day. Stena used to have a disco Onboard the Fantasia and called it the dance to france. It was £1 To go as a foot passenger and the beer was cheap. It got messy!

Your ship was built by the same people who make my mobile phone!!!! I only hope the ship is better at doing its job since my phone keeps breaking lol!!!!
