Warren Last night (1-10-11)

Well I was sitting indoors last night feeling like crap and full of cold, with the prospect of a thrilling night of X factor ahead when it occured to me that I still had 4 score of black lug left from my midweek trip. Hmmmm will the sea air make my cold worse??? Or help clear it up....... Needless to say i got the tide tabel out and took a look. 9.50pm pm Low water and high at 02.42, weather was looking nice for it so I jumped on the blower to Noel and we decided to give the Warren a bash.Upon picking Noel up his neighbour was round and had his 14 yr old lad Jake with him, who had never been sea fishing before so we brought him aswell.

Well I can now say that the fishing did fook all to make my cold clear up but Jake had a Bass and a whiting on his first ever trip and I also had a whiting. Noel caught nothing which may explain why he fell asleep on the apron, which as you will see was a bad idea whith a 14yr old about

Anyhow all in all im sure it was miles better than x factor!!! & another young lad hooked on fishing so all in all worth the 6am return home to die in my bed lol

I fished the second apron with my boy last night as well. If I had of known you were there I would have said hi.
I walked past you at about 2230. I stayed at the campsite at the bottom of the cliff. We only decided at 1600 so diddnt do any planning just grabbed everything and went.
We caught a dogfish and a whiting. We were set up by 1800 and fished untill 2220. Not the greatest fishing but It was a nice evening for it.

Jesh I thought I saw lights down that way lol, was that you wearing the jacket with the reflective strips on it that walked past with a flash light??? I was gonna shout out to ask how the fishing went but I was half way through clambering up the side of the apron lol

Yeah that was me, in my trusty norfolkline fishing jacket! That was me and my 6yr old boy Matthew.

Sounds like a good session for both Joe, Jason and the young lads. It always gives me pleasure to read about dads and family friends encouraging the lads. If more were encouraged at a young age, I'm blooming sure there'd be far fewer problems with drugs, crime and violence among the younger generations. Well done men.
