Samphire hoe Just wondering if anyone has any tips or info on the best place to fish the hoe! Planning a day down there on Saturday with my boy. Im planning on float fishing and fishing the bottom using pully rigs with rotten bottoms with pebbles lashed on with mono and tapped down as weights! Would be intrested to know where the best spot is and what sort of drop I should use on the floats. Any Info would be appreciated. Thanks J

Re: Samphire hoe I am thinking that it might be a bit early for float fishing, but then I have never fished that spot, so I could well be wrong. PP. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk

Re: Samphire hoe Its a tacle graveyard! its the spoil from the channel tunnel so its just a 4.5 million ton pile of chalk and rock! Im going to be fishing the bottom as well but anticipate a snag nearly every cast. Not even sure whats being caught down there at the moment. I caught plenty of undersized codling off the eastern arm yesterday so there may still be the chance of a big one. Just going to get out with the boy and try for anything. J
