Ray fishing this coming Friday????

I am thinking about heading over onto the isle of sheppy to fish for some early rays at Warden bay/Leysdown on friday 18th, or Sat 19th

High Water is at 23.50 (fri) or 00.30 (sat) and are high/deep (5.4m) tides so given that the beach is shallow will allow maximum time to catch one.

Best bait is Sandeel and Ragworm.

Can either fish at warden bay or along the road at the green carpark in leysdown, both are locally known as good spots to catch a ray. Also a chance of bass.

Anyone interested in meeting up and giving it a go?

Yeah mate sounds good, where are you going on Thurs? Sandwich? Have you heard of many coming out this yr. I see someone caught one on the Addy a little while ago

no mate i fish the eastern arm at dover,
yes , several thornies have come up on the addy and on the boats on the goodwins,havn't heard of any on the beaches yet

Eastern arm?, your a lucky man, didn`t think it was allowed to be fished on? A special few eh? You work the docks?

no mate the run is quite fishable,but maybe thats because you have plenty of room around you and no d***heads uptide of you using 2oz plain leads
