Wader is on a distinguished road
Sandgate saturday

Had a good day at Sandgate on saturday. Fished the tide up for 3 hours with nothing showing then on the ebb the whiting showed. Caught over 20 but put back 9 as to small. Used mackerel and squid but the squid proved the bait of day. As a trial I put a small sliver of tin foil on the hook tip and the attraction worked. Seems as if theres a presence of good size bass. The rod went crazy and on the retrieval it was obvious I was into something big. I'll never know but the mackerel bait had been pulverised . I was using size 4 and 2's just for the whiting. I will have to get a second rod for big game hunting lol . Anyway good luck to all and may your catch be one to talk about.
