Re: kent

Hi Guys
Im new to this forum. Not done any sea fishing since my youth but have just bought a fishing kayak and hope to go out and do a spot of lure fishing. Iv'e heard the end of the street, in Whitstable, is good for bass if you catch the incoming tide and go out far enough. Does anyone know of any other places near the swale estuary, Whitstable end that are good?

Many thanks

Re: kent

hello mate welcome to the forum,
the best spots in my opinion for your neck of the woods are the pan sands and the forts but maybe they are out of range for a yak ?
the end of the street can be good i have heard and so are the rocks at the end of hampton jetty,
a lot of bass are caught at seasalter but they are mainly schoolies,
hope that helps mate

Re: kent

Hi Guys

I live in kent and quite regularly go out fishing so am putting an open invite to you all for a trip. Is anyone from my neck of the woods looking for a fishing buddy? I mainly fish Folkstone, Dungeness, Isle Of Sheppey, Dover and at Gravesend. I would be willing to try some new spots tho

Im of to gravesend tomoz to catch the evening tide and try and catch me some soles so fingers crossed, last time i was there i had 5 so hopefully i can get near that figure again and even a bass or 2 would be nice

Anyway if anyone out there is interested then please reply and we will sort something out

Re: kent

Hi paul, Put this same post on the saltwater flyfishing forum but as yet no response. Wondered if you could help?

I love beachcasting and flyfishing but have never really tried fly in saltwater. When I was fishing down at sandgate the other week at the grub groin I thought that it could possibly be good off the rocks with my fly rod when the summer comes.

Has anyone tried this? if so any luck? what did you catch? and what did you use to do so?
