Question Anyone interested ?

My Wife & I have recently moved to Norway and are living in an old "Farm House" on an island about 10 miles N/W of Stavanger. The fishing is wide and varied - superb sea fishing from 6 foot to 600+, river and lake fishing for salmon and trout and being on an island there is always somewhere sheltered to fish. I have a 25 foot motor sailor which isn't ideal but can fish 4, also a 14ft open boat with a 5hp outboard.
The reason for this post is to "test the water" to find if anyone might be interested in a fishing holiday here as we are seriously considering starting B&B
Would be interested to hear any feedback
regards
Doug

Re: Anyone interested ?

I m sure you will have loads of interest as Norway managed her fish stocks as the UK just decimated them.
As a result if you want decent fishing its in Norway

PS I m up in Tromso for Feb ,how much is beer up there now

Re: Anyone interested ?

Don't be too sure about Norway managing fish stocks ! when I go down to my boat and look in the gin clear water in the harbour all you can see is dead rays, flounder, smooth hound, wrasse etc. which the locals have netted and discarded as all they are interested in is cod or crabs.
There is no "finesse" here - yes the sea is full of fish but literally tons are wasted needlessly.

Doug

Smile Re: Anyone interested ?

Good morning,

I'm interested and I'm sure the Maggot-Drowner (father-in-law) will be too.

Looks like flights are about £150 return - Bristol or Brum.

Please pm me with prices when you've got it all worked out.

Last time I was in Norway I was living in a snow hole with 7 other blokes.

Regards

Malc
