| Help Oban + Loch Etive Area I'm planning a trip to Oban / Loch Etive for conger. I've heard there's a disused quarry with deep water but don't know if there is conger there. Anybody have info on the quarry or other marks that hold conger in the area. Any info would be much appreciated. |

| Hi m8 we fished loch Etive 2 weeks ago, and had a great week-end. if u want to go to the quarry, its quite easy to get to, listen up.. 1 comming from Taynuilt u will see a big metal bridge crossing the water.2 cross over the bridge.3 at the end of the bridge there is a sharp right, take it and follow the road all the way round. It goes on for at least 3 mile, just before the quarry gate u can take a right, follow it round to the end and u can park there.Or u can drive in the quarry to the end gate and park there and walk through by the fish farm to the muscle beds, round the front of the quarry and the other side of the fish farms its about 200 ft deep.as i said we had a great week-end the biggest fish caught was an 8 lb ray. hope this is a bit of help. tight lines baretta |
