Are mackerel in yet

Hi folks I am new to this forum. Has anyone caught any mackerel from the shore yet. Had a wee bash up loch long the other day. But was fruitless. Think they are a bit late this year. But was wondering if anyone else was having any luck?

hi...up in the west coast of scotland in the highlands.....catching mackeral now.......they are in early for us this year.

Loch Long is full of them mate, been up a few times in the last month, nothing for the first 2 times but last week and this week we have all been catching them...

plenty of mackeral up in little loch broom....not sure where loch long is though.......??

Its about a mile from loch lomond the village of arrochar is at the head of the loch

Been up a few time since I first posted and have had better luck these times. Not masses of them but enough for bait.
