Re: new

What type of fishing do you want to do? Beach or rock? There are loads of places here on the east coast to go but most are weather dependent

Re: new

If you are going to fish rock marks then be prepared to lose tackle. Rottom bottom rigs are a must. Bait wise i would use mackerel and squid.

Which beach did you try? What rig did you use? What bait? How far did you cast?

Sorry for all the questions but the answers could help me to give you a few tips for catchin some fish

Re: new

Iv not fished off any beaches up here, no confidence I use to live at nottingham long way from the sea, I fished down Devon, cornwell, Anglesey, chisel bank, and Immingham dock near grimbsy, Gibraltar point, all them places and never had a fish off a beach would love to catch something lol. All these places when I was on holiday. Rigs i normally use metal booms put 2 on, maybe 80 yards not sure, how far do you have to cast out, Bait mackerel rag & lug. I moved up here in 2002 to live with me girlfriend which I met when I came for a holiday. I think I will try the lighthouse at boddam on saturday evening. I fished at Collieston off the rocks caught mackerel and flatties, peterhead breakwater caught about the same, macduff had a few pollack and thats about me lot lol. Thanks for your help very much appreciated.
