Thumbs up Inverbervie / Cove Bay

Decided to go fishing on friday evening/night for four hours before high tide and three hours after.

Looking at the weather charts i plummed for Inverbervie as i thought it was decent weather to produce fish on.

Arrived at Inverbervie at 14.10 and watched the surf for about five mins. Picked my spot and started fishing about 14.25.

It soon became apparent that the bay was swirling alot and trying to keep your lead and trace from coming back at you was really hard. I moved around on the beach to try and miss out the tide effect but it was everywhere.
There were about nine other fishermen on the beach and from what i saw nothing was caught up til high tide.

At 19.00 i gave in and decided to move to a new mark. A quick look at my map and i thought i would give Cove Bay a shot. Having never fished here before i was walking into the unknown.

Arrived and set up there about 19.45. The tide was dropping quite fast but there was still a decent swell going.

Started firstly casting out due south but i was loosing hooks off the rigs nearly every cast. Not good.

Changed tactics and decided to fish about 15 yards out.

Two minutes later i had a nice 4lb coddling by my feet
Very next cast produced a nice 2lb coddling, followed by two more at around about 1.5 lbs.

All in all a decent trip and well worth the coddie. I would like to go back to Cove in daylight to see what the place actually looks like.
