Thumbs up Scrabster 05/06 Aug 2006

Went for a Scotland boat fishing forum meet with another website (WSF) this weekend on board the MV Karen. Weather was good and so was the fishing.

Saturday:

Set out at 8am. Weather was sunny with slight breeze. Fishing was continous throughout the day and laods of species caught.
These included

Cod
Pollack
Coalfish
Cuckoo Wrasse
Ling
Launce
Spurdog
LSD
Dab
Mackerel
Octopus
Fulmar

Sunday we set off at 8am again but it was abit more bouncier this time. Tried to fish over at Dunnet Head but it was far to rough so was fished for abit in the bay til it calmed down. When it calmed down we went back to Dunnet Head. Fished there for a while then came back to Scrabster via 'The Hump'
Biggest fish of the weekend was caught at Dunnet and was a 14lb 11oz Ling

Not so many species this time but still managed:
Cod
Pollock
Ballan Wrasse
Dab
Ling
Coalfish
Common Gull

All in all a fantastic weekend and one that i shall be repeating again.
