Etive lastnight

Morning all,fished Loch Etive lastnight.
I got down to the mark about 4 and set up in the last hour of light,the wind was howling so i fished near to my van instead of the planned walk further up the loch.
Anyway i cast out a couple of rods with smallish clipped down rigs baited with macky and squid to see what was about,it didnt take long for one of the rods to start rattling and i wound in to find a wting of about 9" on.
After another couple of wting i decided to change things and put on pulley rigs with 3/0 hooks baited with half macky or a couple of whole squid,within minutes one of my rods was nodding and i pulled a doggy in.
The rod with the squid on then rattled slightly, i wound in to find a small coddling of about 8" i put it back with instructions to return to me in 5 yrs.
After an hour of nothing things then picked up,as the tide got higher the spurdogs came on the feed,i missed a couple of takes and then hooked into and landed one of about 4-5lb this was quickly follwed by another.
I then missed a cracking bight whilst having a pee,half way through relieving myself my rod tip bent over and kept going,the rod was pulled off the stand and i peed down my leg in the rush to get it.When i grabbed the rod there was nothing there,all i had was a wet leg .
I was getting decent bites nearly every cast but only managed one more spur before i called it a night.
All in all i had a good evening and i will be there again tonight .

Might want to take some water proof trousers just incase it rains

Hi Ben.

Just looked at the pics on your score sheet. Where did you get the Rainbow Trout? Because it is a Salmon Par not a Rainbow Trout. So good news for your species I suspect, as they are a lot harder to come by than a Rainbow Trout. Well done.
