the answer my friend is blowing in the wind had a couple of hrs today fishing port henderson , gairloch , Highlands today but caught up in heavy rain and 40/50 gusts, fished off the rocks but spent most of my time watching the rogue waves and running back up them. All in all a wash out but the area looks just right for pollock, also hit it at low water so i will try next week on a calm day at high tide. any body fishing out this way soon, get in touch. tight lines

Re: the answer my friend is blowing in the wind cheers guys. Tried again today heading back home from work.................this time at Rhue lighthouse, had a few good bites but nothing caught.....i was using a jig head with a 6inch fire tail worm......im thinking that it was too long for the fish having ago, it needs to take in 4 inch until the hook, thinking these mignt have been coalies,,,next time i will use a shorter version, but things are starting to happen...weather forcast set to improve for north scotland late this week, so im expecting a few early mackeral.......have been asked to go on a bass trip out from brora this week... tight lines

Re: the answer my friend is blowing in the wind The last time I fished at Rhu lighthouse the only bites I got were from the wee beasties. I was fishing with my son-in-law who reckoned that the place was barren - no fish there. He'd just finished saying this when a seal popped up with and enormous fish in it's mouth which it took to a rock and bit it in half before eating it.

Re: the answer my friend is blowing in the wind Hi Boxer. The wee beasties are just thinking about coming out to play, but ok at the moment, i got out today, finished work and went to a nearby beach , found a deep mark off the rocks, sun was shining sea looked like the med, firetail worm on and a 3lb pollock, so things looking up. good thing about being self employed is you can usually get to fish when the mood takes. tight lines
