| Loch Etive (again) Fished the loch again on sunday and to say it was a beutifull day would be an understatement, clear blue skys, snow capped mountains and not a breath of wind. I started fishing about midday, ive heard this loch does not fish during daylight and this certainly prooved to be true,i even got my spinning rod out but to no avail. Anyway who needs fish when you can sit next to a glass like loch without seeing another soul. Things picked up as soon as the sun set with the enevatable whiting coming on the feed ,all falling t mackerel. A couple of hours after dark i changed bait to herring to try ang get rid of the whiting, this worked straight away when i landed a spurdog of about 6lb. The stupid thing was i had thrown all my bait in the loch to make sure it was my last cast,,,doh. Oh well i ll just have to go tonite,,its a hard life. cheers |
