Loch Duich area

Went fishing over Loch duich area on sunday. Not going to say exactly as i want to try out these marks again.

Was a stunning morning with clear blue skies and crystal clear reflections in the lochs. Weather turned pants in the afternoon though.

Didn't catch much but there again i wasn't really trying. Got two doggies and three thornies at one mark. Biggest thornie was 5lbish and caught on my mackerel sausage bait.

At second mark i only got one coalie but i was only there 30 mins and it was slack water.

Defo going back to these marks to try and catch better sized species. Might even do it at night to see if that makes a difference.

This is my mackerel sausage bait

Re: Loch Duich area

I use finger bandage bought from Boots. I only use one layer at a time and have found it to be really good at keeping mackerel on the hook that has defrosted. Also it makes it well easy to make up bait cocktails
