Re: Fuerte Ventura tips Anybody What a beedin' performance getting a fishing licence for cannarie's/spain. 1) ya've to go to puerto Rosario (if ya' in fuerte ventura & go to the minsrtry of agriculture & fisheries office & do an application form - the girl does it for you though if ye' a tourist - dont forget ya' PASSPORT or ya can't have one) Suggest taxi or ya'll nener fint it on ya' own (we were very lucky though as when we went to the info' office to ask there was a lawyer for Brit tourists who made nothing of it to get her DRIVER if you please to take me & the wife) 2) Wallk back into town (15 min's) & take the applicatin form to the bank to pay (14.74 euros) 3) Take the now paid for application form to the council offices & they will issue a provisional licence & then you can fish straight away (ya' never see the proper licence as they then send the documents to Gran cannaria for proper processing (ya' just fish with the provisional one for 3 years including a lot of mainland Spain. No wonder many don't bother !! or don't even know ya' need 1 __________________ Fishing - the best fun you can have with your clothes on.

Re: Fuerte Ventura tips Anybody Not too bad i suppose Got a Ballan wrasse (i reckon) about 1 1/2lb on 1st day from cliffs where i made a fishin' buddy from sheffield. Spent rest of hol's more or less with him (when fishin' that is) Found an EASY fishig bay & got a baby shark on float fished prawn & a few oother small wrasse - thought it was a bit of a nursery spot really. Till beach rod went round (while i left wife looking after it) & got an octopus about 2 1/2 foot long which fell off in mid air so saved unhooking it. Set up with prawn (large whole one again) & fired it out again - leaving the wife in charge of it again while i float fished 30yds' away & she reeled in a flounder of some sort which again fell off in the air. Only managed a couple of decent photo's which i'll post in due course. All in all wish i'd give the cliffs another go (but sea was a bit rough specially for a soft northern coarse man. __________________ Fishing - the best fun you can have with your clothes on.

Re: Fuerte Ventura tips Anybody The combination of sea and rocks certainly makes it interesting. Sorting out dates for March April now will let you know how I get on
