Just wondering if anyone has tried spinning for bass at the point? and when does the season for cod statt?

I have been doing a lot of Mackerel fishing lately, stocking the freezer up for winter.

upto 70 so far over two weekend, and this is from the beach not the pier, too many damn people on there for me.

Reports of the odd codling coming in already. With a spring tide this weekend and after this blow it may be the perfect time to have a go

Bear in mind though, it WILL be packed down there.
