Ive been after two of the 13ft multi versions for about 3 months now but they go for about 140 quid EACH second hand !
a tripod will cost you 25 squid and all the bits and bobs there must be worth a fair bit !
I'll actually be slightly envious if you end up with a pair of these

no way....i sold one for £25 earlier this year...or i was going to grow beans up it as it had been sat in my she for ages......

no way would i give £140 for them but they are a damn good rod for half that and are well suited to the bristol chanel with good bite detection and can lob a bait and lead a fair way.

I've recently bought 2 of these, never seen a bad review of them. Fished once with them and they seem great so far.

My mistake John , i meant 140 a pair .. most are going for 60 - 80 bucks singly - ive been watching atleast 8 of the damn things over the months ! oddly - and its probably no coincidence there seems to be a lot of them coming from welsh wales
I did bid on this one but tbh without a pair to be found i gave up ! from what you are saying they sound fairly robust tho .

Santa ( aka the courier ) brought me two brand new supercast power multis yesterday so now i can't wait to get out

Re: Bit of advice

that sounds better and about right...

for £70 you'd be hard pushed to knock them.

Re: Bit of advice

Have a look at this, Both my Son and I bought this set up. We were very pleased with the price and the setup works really well.
I have been having a couple of casting lessons as I am returning after 20 years and can't seen to cast further than 50/60 yards, its a lot better now. My tutor said this is a good set up and he managed to get 130 yards, so it does cast well, plus there was a good review in the sea angler magazine.
Whatever you go for I'm sure you won't be bum steered as the guy's on here are a world of good information, good luck and tight lines.
Here's a link for you to look at http://www.gofishing.co.uk/Sea-Angle...d-spool--mono/

Regards
Jeff
